Cansu Peker
Writer & Curator
Specializing in Digital Art

Cansu Peker is a writer and curator who’s all about exploring where art and technology meet. She earned her MA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts as a Wasserman Scholar, and since then, she’s been leading curatorial projects, creative productions, and international art events that spotlight digital artists from all kinds of backgrounds. In 2023, she founded Digital Arts Blog to create a space where digital artists can find visibility, community, and support.

Cansu’s curatorial work often explores how storytelling and technology can come together in meaningful ways. She curated the Digital Arts Blog pavilion for The Wrong Biennale in 2023, titled “We’ve been dreaming about a magical jungle,” featuring 11 digital artists whose work taps into themes of empowerment, self-discovery, and the longing for something organic in the digital world.

She also co-curated the Women of the World exhibition during NFT.NYC 2022, in collaboration with Infinite Objects, NOWHERE, and STARTBAHN. It was the first NFT show of its kind to feature over 130 women-identifying artists from all seven continents, spotlighting the creative power and diversity of women in the NFT space.

Outside of exhibitions, Cansu is often tapped as a jury member for awards and grants in new media and digital design. She’s been part of industry conversations by moderating panels, giving talks, and guest lecturing at NYU on building a career in digital art. Her written work includes forewords, essays, interviews for art books, magazines, and journals focused on contemporary and new media art.

Originally from Istanbul and now based in New York, she continues to explore the cultural impact of digital art through her writing, curatorial projects, and advocacy.

Also, her name sounds like John+Sue, but she’ll totally respond to Kansu, so no worries.
